Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme CPU Cooler Review
Cases and Cooling
Article Publish Date:
Thermaltake is not a new comer to the water-cooling market. Unlike the majority other companies currently that are selling All-in-one (AiO) water-coolers. Thermaltake has had their Bigwater water cooler on the market for some time, and they still do. However, they have also moved into the AiO market, and produced their own coolers, the Water 2.0 series.
We are going to be looking at the Thermaltake Water 2.0 Extreme. As the name would suggest this is the flagship model in the Water 2.0 series, and as such it comes with features not found on the value ordinated coolers. These features include a larger 240mm radiator that can accommodate up to 4 case fans for enhanced cooling. Such a large cooler though won’t work universally with all the cases on the market, but an enthusiast grade thermal solution should be paired with an enthusiast grade case.
As the flagship product in the Thermaltake Water series the Extreme model does come with a bit of a premium. Currently the Water 2.0 Extreme has an MSRP of 135.99. The only way to tell though if it is over-priced is to put it through our burn-in process and see if it can match the performance of other similarly priced coolers.
