The G.Skill Trident X lineup is currently their flagship memory product and is designed for the 3rd Generation Intel Core Processors and Z77 platform.  Designing the memory to run with current gen Intel processors such as the 3770K, G.Skill is able to dial up the frequency all the way to 2800MHz for extreme performance. In addition, only select memory is used in the Trident X series, which allows G.Skill to run the memory at high speeds without breaking the 1.65V threshold and still, have tight timings to boot.

Along with blazing fast speeds the Trident X series also utilizes a heavy duty heatsink that incorporates high quality aesthetics along with a modular design. Designing the heatsink this way allows the height of the Trident X memory to be adjusted to either accommodate larger CPU cooling blocks, or cool optimally cool the on-board DRAM. In either configuration though, the Trident X is still one of the sexiest kits of memory on the market.

In today’s review we are going to be examining a 32GB kit of Trident X memory that is clocked at 2400MHz. At this speed the memory has timings of 10-12-12-31 and fits into a 1.65V power envelope.
