Introduction
Mechanical key switches have been making an impact as far back as the days of pinball. Touted as the most reliable type of input, various mechanical switches are still being used to this day. SteelSeries saw the benefits inherent in the concept of these little machines, and has chosen to implement a Cherry mechanical solution in their 6GV2 boards.

The SteelSeries 6GV2 was created to fill the needs of today’s generation of gamer, and no liberties are taken in delivering the same performance as the flagship SteelSeries 7G series keyboard. The magical behind the 6G series boards are linear Cherry mechanical switches, anti-ghosting circuitry, and solid, road-ready, construction. Unlike the 7G series which used black switches a customer shopping for a 6GV2 will have a choice between Cherry mechanical black and red switches. The Cherry red switch provides the user with a lighter press compared to the black switch option for rapid key-inputs with minimal resistance. SteelSeries’ renown has reached legendary status in e-sports, and one would hope if they made a keyboard some website would have it used excessively, torn apart, and even dressed up. That’s exactly what happens here. It’s simply the Real World thing to do. Enjoy!
