Introduction

Over the last few years the memory market has been shaken up by top tier companies exiting stage right to focus exclusively on SSDs and the price of DDR3 memory has been cut by nearly 1/3 of where it was just over a year ago. Despite this Companies such as G.Skill push on and still strive to create memory that is aesthetically pleasing and has high overclocking potential, but above all is fast.

The G.Skill Ripjaws X is one such product, as at 2133MHz it is a high bandwidth kit of memory that still has a CAS 9 latency and adheres to the strict 1.65V Intel standard. On top of just the specifications though the Ripjaws X utilizes an exclusive finned heatsink that is sure to keep the DDR3 memory modules will within their thermal threshold. Additionally, G.Skill has insured us this kit of memory has plenty of headroom beyond 2133MHz.
