INTRODUCTION

Although i have used and tested quite a large number of Bluetooth wireless headsets i always had a single wish and that was to find a small stereo headset with powerful audio levels which i could use not only while at home but also on the go or while at the gym. The only issue is that although i was able to find large Bluetooth headsets i could never find something relatively small, at least not with the audio power and quality i would like. Well almost two weeks ago i received the latest HALO2 Bluetooth Stereo Headset by our friends over at Jabra which according to its specs sheet is exactly what I’ve been looking for all this time.

GN Netcom, led by the Jabra brand, continues to build on its standing as one of the world’s leading and fastest growing suppliers of hands-free communications solutions. With approximately 875 employees and sales offices around the world, GN Netcom develops manufactures and markets a broad range of wireless headsets for mobile users and both wireless and corded headsets for contact center and office-based users. GN Netcom’s business activities also include its original equipment manufacturing (OEM) business to a wide range of global customers including mobile phone, PC and PDA manufacturers.

Jabra introduced the original HALO a while back but unfortunately it did not receive the attention and the warm welcome from consumers as one would expect. The HALO2 Bluetooth Stereo Headset therefore is an improved version of the original HALO with a number of extra features such as Bluetooth 3.0 support, better power usage (increased standby) AM3D Power Bass and AM3D Virtual Surround Sound 2.0. Of course just like the original HALO the HALO2 also features touch controls, 2 Omni-directional microphones with noise-blackout technology, Audio DSP, Multiuse feature for simultaneous use with up to two devices and of course the same lightweight foldable design. So on paper the HALO2 is almost perfect but what about in reality?
