INTRODUCTION

 

 

 

         Looking back over a decade ago one will easily remember that people really thought of a computer case as a metal box in which the various computer components were stored and who can blame them when at the time there were only a couple of good case makers such as Antec that only constructed plain cases. In our days however things have radically changed since computers have entered everybody’s lives and people have started to be more concerned with things like less noise, better airflow, big or small in size and design.

 

         With the ongoing price drops on Notebooks more and more companies seem to be joining the HTPC trend by manufacturing PC cases small in size to save space and with innovative build in features such as LCD Screens, IMon, Wi-Fi and much more. Today however the case we have on the table is neither a HTPC nor a Mid Tower, it is a combination of both since it may have the size of a Mid Tower but at the same time it has a special build in rack on which you can attach an LCD Screen of up to 24 inches in size. The L-2000 or L-Dorado case is made by 3RSystem and it is the first case of its kind. As a matter of fact it is so innovative that a very well known company decided to ask 3RSystem to manufacture it for them and place their brand logo on it in order to sell it in a select few countries where 3RSystem has not expanded yet.

 

          3R System was established in 2000 and since then they have introduced effective water and air cooling solutions along with a vast variety of PC cases. Understanding the importance of creative power and innovation they have been ceaselessly in pursuit of applying new ideas to other products and thereby attached great importance to their R&D sector. That being said and the fact that their BOSS CPU Cooler was a good surprise to us i am looking forward in taking a look at their L-2000 case.
