    Time like this i don't know if i should be happy that i am still working around the clock just 3 days before we enter the new year or simply sad. True i did not go away for holidays as planed and i guess sitting around doing nothing is not really me, yet it does feel a bit odd. Anyways a couple of days ago some friends of mine reported blackouts around the globe mainly because some people like to light their houses up like Christmas trees thus overloading the local electricity grids. As a result a friend of mine had to replace the power supply unit from his gaming system and as luck would have it he bought the same power supply unit i have here with me today and so mainly because of that i decided to take a look at what he purchased and see if he was right or wrong in doing so.

    Super Flower may not have the most aggressive/mysterious company name in the market and they are certainly not amongst the very well-known manufacturers (although respected by people in our line of work) but they have been manufacturing power supplies for a number of other brands (including NZXT and Kingwin) with great success since their units have gotten numerous awards from media worldwide. Today on our test bench we have one of their latest power supplies and more specifically the GOLDEN GREEN 1000W which as the name suggests comes with an 80Plus Gold certification and plenty of power to feed even the highest end Tri-SLI/CF systems. However since this is the very first PSU carrying the name Super Flower to reach our test bench let's see just how good it really is.
