One of the worst things that can happen to pretty much anyone is to be in a place far away from home with a low battery indication on his (or hers) cellular phone. True if you are ontop of things like me and you always charge your cellular phone just before you leave the office or home this rarely ever happens and even if it did most people do have car chargers for their cellular phones but besides the fact that you need to be near your car to use them such chargers also don't provide the best and cleanest electrical power for your devices. Luckily there are quite a few portable batteries (or portable battery chargers) in the market with which you can charge just about any device such as cellular phones, MP3/4 Players and tablet computers like the iPad. SandBerg just released their portable battery called the PowerBank and with us for testing we have the top 8000mAh model.
Sandberg A/S is a Danish company with a clear ideology: We want to make it easier to get hold of computer accessories. Everyone should be able to find the right accessories in the shop and get them to work once they've got them home without the need for specialist knowledge. The basic idea of Sandberg wanting to make things easier for both consumers and dealers has imbued the spirit of everything that Sandberg has done since 1985, when the company was founded by the two brothers Martin Hollerup and Erling Hoff Petersen.
As mentioned there are many similar portable batteries in the market today but what really makes the PowerBank unit stand out from all is the battery capacity of 8000mAh which is double than what most similar devices have. That of course means that you have more battery to charge your devices with so whereas for example an 4000mAh unit would recharge your phone 3 times over an 8000mAh unit would recharge it 6 and even 7 times over. Other things such as the available connectors such a device has, its size and of course the price also matter a lot and so let's see exactly what the latest Sandberg product has to offer.
