INTRODUCTION

It really seems that no matter how many CPU Coolers we test more and more land on our front door and aside the fact that we still haven't switched onto an fully working Intel X79 (LGA2011) based system this is not really a bad thing, especially for consumers. A few days ago we were the first to test the latest Archon Rev.A by Thermalright which as you probably know comes with a large 150mm fan (largest we've ever seen on a CPU Cooler) and managed to produce impressive cooling efficiency numbers, for a single fan solution that is. Today with us we have yet another one of the latest CPU Cooler to hit the shelves of stores again by Thermalright, the True Spirit 140.
Thermalright is an elite design house that manufactures cooling products for computer components for the best quality and performance your money can buy. In 2002, AMD released its first generation Thunderbird CPU and since then we have been there every step of the way to counter high voltage and high heat with innovative design and highly acclaimed cooling solutions not only for AMD but for Intel as well. One of early well known solutions was the SK-6. With many positive and rave reviews under its belt Thermalright bolted to the top as the heat sink manufacturer mostly preferred by Overclockers and enthusiasts around the World. To this day, innovation never left our vocabulary as we keep coming up with leading edge designs staying ahead of the competition.
If you've been watching the latest news regarding CPU Coolers or if you've just been reading our reviews you are most certainly aware that Thermalright introduced a brother company over a year ago named Cogage. It was under the Cogage that they first introduced the Silver Arrow and True Spirit CPU Coolers which are now available under the Thermalright name. Compared with the True Spirit 140 the original True Spirit came with an smaller 120mm fan, less heatpipes and was quite smaller and lighter in size thus it was aimed towards entry level users mostly. So with several improvements across the board i was really curious as to what numbers to expect from the new True Spirit 140 and as you will see later on i wasn't disappointed.
