INTRODUCTION

A few years back finding an external HDD enclosure with room for more than just one hard disk drive and extra features like RAID0 and RAID1 modes was exceptionally hard, especially for people who didn't want or just couldn't afford to spend a small fortune for it. Today things have changed and so pretty much every company in the field manufactures cost-effective external RAID enclosures aimed towards home users and professionals from "entry-level" ones with just two bays up to the more "high-end" ones with 4 bays. Now as you all know since the beginning of the year we have tested quite a few external RAID enclosures by most of the leading manufacturers in the field. Today we will be looking at such a unit made by Ineo and more specifically the I-NA309D-Pro USB 3.0 Dual Bay RAID Enclosure.

Ineo is certainly not amongst the well-known external HDD manufacturers in the field but as mentioned in previous reviews they have been the OEM supplier of some which automatically means that they are making good enough products for large companies to want to put their logos on them. Now although the I-NA309D-Pro USB 3.0 Dual Bay RAID Enclosure we have on our test bench today performed very well and even managed to beat the competition in several tests still it had a faulty RAID mode switch and so in this review we were only able to test Single and RAID0 modes so unlike other times RAID1 was left outside (still most people know what performance to expect in RAID1 just by looking at the performance of the other two modes). It's time however to take a closer look at the unit and see what performance levels you can actually expect from it.
