INTRODUCTION

 

 

 

 

    It's not really common for people in my shoes to thoroughly test and of course post reviews of surveillance IP cameras but as many of you know i really enjoy that and have been doing it for over 4 years during which more than 20 models by some of the leading companies in the field have passed from my hands. True this has also helped me gain the trust of many security experts working in several different companies but i only consider that as a small bonus, nothing more. Anyways around 5 days ago TRENDnet announced their latest surveillance IP Camera model called the SecurView TV-IP322P which has been here with us passing through the usual outdoors testing procedures and so today can bring you yet another worldwide first product review.

    The SecurView TV-IP322P is the first outdoors model we have ever received from TRENDnet and because of that i was quite surprised to see such a high build quality level since the IP66 weather/vandal proof enclosure is by far the best one i have ever come across and trust me when i say i have seen quite a few. Image quality is also superb with a maximum resolution of 1280x1024@15fps although for reasons unknown TRENDnet has missed the 2MP (Megapixels) wagon for now. Of course i hope that changes soon but since up until today most IP cameras worked at a maximum resolution of 640x480 i don't think that many people will turn to 2MP solutions any time soon for price reasons mostly, but it will happen.
