INTRODUCTION

 

 

 

 

    During a hot season, such as the summer we are currently in, keeping your system cool is not something easy and requires much more than just a good CPU Cooler. Unlike what most people think the tower plays perhaps an even larger part in keeping the temperatures of your system into a minimum and almost all of the times a full/big tower is much better than any mini or midi tower, that's why personally ever since 1996 i have only used full tower PC Cases for all my systems. Now we all know that Enermax is amongst the leading companies in the field of power supplies, what most people don't know however is that they also aim to be just as good in PC Cases and their latest SpineRex Full/Big Tower is more than just a good start.

 

 

     Enermax Technology Corporation was founded in Taiwan in 1990 and today is one of the leading manufacturers of PC components (power supplies, PC cases, cooling fans, keyboards, HDD enclosures and other peripherals). Since 2000 the head quarter is located in Taoyuan, Taiwan. Six subsidiaries and numerous affiliates around the world provide an excellent network for ODM/OEM and retail business. Enermax has subsidiaries in Germany, France, Italy, USA, Japan and China. Worldwide, over 600 employees work for Enermax. Since 2004, the Enermax Technology Corporation is listed at the Taiwanese stock exchange. Detailed technical knowledge and foresight played an essential role for the quick development of the Enermax brand. Prior to the establishment of their own business, the Enermax’ founders served in executive positions in IT industry. They have been well acquainted with the demands of ambitious, hardware enthusiastic customers and took the opportunity offered by the lack of premium-quality, high-performance and durable PC components at that time. Within a very short period of time, the Enermax brand became popular around the world. Enermax possesses two own factories and thereby guarantees product’s high quality and long lifetime. Over the last decades, their innovations and technologies continuously defined new standards for the market.

 

 

    When i first saw the SpineRex promotional PDF a few months ago it really seemed so big that i felt it could easily fit up to XL-Mainboards and so in a way i was happy since not many PC Cases in the market can do that. Unfortunately that was not the case but even so the SpineRex does have room for up to E-ATX (Extended) mainboards which should be sufficient for like 99% of the people out there. Size aside the SpineRex has one of the best cooling systems i have ever seen in a case with two 120mm VEGAS intake fans on the front, a single 250mm LED fan at the right side panel (not the window version) and room for two more 120mm exhaust fans at the top and one 120mm exhaust fan at the rear. Of course Enermax doesn't ship the SpineRex with all of the fans preinstalled with this model (it does however with the ECA5011M) since the cost would be even higher and some of you may not really like so many LED fans but the room is there. Anyways since pictures speak louder than words in such reviews let’s move forward and see what the Enermax SpineRex offers.
