    For the past 10 years i have reached the obvious conclusion that no matter how good an surround headset is it simply can't compete with a good 5.1/7.1 surround speaker system due to physical constraints. Of course many of the leading companies in the field have tried to cover that gap in performance by either producing very good virtual surround sound from a single large driver on each side or by fitting several small drivers inside the headset in order to simulate a real surround sound system.     What will certainly take you by surprise the moment you lay your eyes on the KULO 7.1 USB Virtual Surround Headset is its very small size compared to other similar surround headsets. In fact the KULO 7.1 USB Virtual Surround Headset is identical to the KULO Stereo Headset (with an extra USB soundcard) which is why i was quite skeptical at first about what to expect in terms of positioning audio accuracy. Of course i never expect excellence from virtual surround headsets, nor multiple-driver ones for that matter since that is obviously quite impossible but as you can see later on the Roccat KULO 7.1 USB Virtual Surround Headset actually did quite well for a small sized virtual surround headset.
