INTRODUCTION

 

      The Heat-Pipe Direct Touch technology became well known ever since Xigmatek started featuring it on their CPU and GPU coolers and soon after with the OCZ Vendetta 2. For all those who don't know what H.D.T really is its when the heatpipes of a cooler are in direct contact with the processor’s heat spreader. This yields better cooling results and so more and more companies start to incorporate it into their cooling solutions.

      Sunbeamtech is a company rather unknown to most average users and to all hardcore users it is best known for its cases, power supplies and PC accessories. What most users don't know is that Sunbeamtech is also the parent company of Tuniq, one of the leading manufacturers of CPU coolers and power supplies. It is also the same company that gave us the award winning Tuniq Tower 120 CPU cooler series which even after more than a year in the market still produce remarkable cooling results so as it is only natural i was anxious to test their latest CPU cooling solution.

     Today we will be testing the Sunbeamtech Core-Contact Freezer, a high performing H.D.T CPU cooler. So the big question that everyone has in mind and needs answering is whether or not will the Core-Contact Freezer perform the same impressive way its predecessor did a long time ago or will it be just another much promising cooler with nothing new to show ?
