INTRODUCTION

Sound is perhaps the most underestimated thing when it comes to computer systems since most casual users stick with various cheap onboard solutions which may offer sufficient features such as 7.1 analog/digital surround sound but can't really compete with standalone cards in terms of both audio and build quality. Of course very good audio cards are ment either for enthusiasts, serious gamers and serious HTPC owners and so in a way i can understand as to why more than half of the users around the world stick with onboard solutions, still since we are always after the best hardware money can buy (or at least most of the time) today we bring you a review of what might as well be the best Audiophile Audio Card in the market as we speak, the Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD which is manufactured by no other than the legendary Creative Labs.
Creative is the worldwide leader in digital entertainment products for the personal computer (PC) and the Internet. Creative was founded in Singapore in 1981 with the vision that multimedia would revolutionize the way people interact with their PCs. Famous for its Sound Blaster sound cards and for launching the multimedia revolution, Creative is now driving digital entertainment on the PC platform with products like its highly acclaimed ZEN line of digital audio players. The company's innovative hardware, proprietary technology, applications and services enable consumers to experience high-quality digital entertainment-anytime, anywhere. Since launching the phenomenally successful Sound Blaster sound cards and setting the de facto standard for PC audio in 1989, Creative has been able to leverage on its leading-edge audio technology, huge user base and strong brand name to expand into the exciting lifestyle Personal Digital Entertainment (PDE) market.
Creative labs has been around for ages and to all of us who were lucky enough to get our first system in the early 90's there's simply no other company that can match them. Who doesn't remember the Sound Blaster 16bit which offered unparalleled audio clarity compared with other solutions of that time, the Sound Blaster AWE32/64 and their amazing audio reproduction/compatibility with games, the Live!/Audigy/2 cards which offered crystal clear 5.1 surround sound and who can deny that the X-Fi chip launched almost 5 years ago is still not the best one around? True Creative was and still isn't perfect and to some people their driver support is lacking but i doubt i know any company in the world which can provide 100% support for everyone and all their products. Anyways personally i never really encountered serious issues with any of the 10+ Sound Blaster cards I’ve used during the past 20 years so at least for me they are simply the best at what they do. So what is the latest Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD all about?
