INTRODUCTION

 

 

 

 

   Amongst the most difficult decisions one has to make when building a new system is without doubt the selection of the ideal PC case. Now for good or bad PC cases have evolved quite a lot and so whereas years ago we had to choose solely based on case size (Mini, Midi and Full towers) and design we now have to choose based on the form factor of our mainboard as well. Currently there are many form factors (official and unofficial) used in both consumer and corporate environments but the main ones most people know are m-ATX, ATX, Flex-ATX, BTX, E-ATX and XL-ATX with the last being the largest of them all. Today we will be amongst the first to take a look at one of the latest and largest PC Cases in the market, the Colossus Window by BitFenix.

    The Colossus Window is the basically the same as the original Colossus Full Tower with a clear side window instead of the regular side panel which according to Bitfenix was implemented after taking into consideration suggestions made by their fans around the globe. BitFenix also announced the Colossus Venom which is also the same as the original Colossus but this version allows you to switch between Red and Green LED colors at will a feature mostly ment for modders. Overall the Colossus Window is an impressive case and is easily amongst the best looking cases we have seen during the past 3 years but as you will also see later on BitFenix did not focus as much in the quality department.
