INTRODUCTION

 

 

 

 

    During CeBIT we saw a wide variety of Media Players by most companies in that particular field and as some of you know ACRyan had quite a few new units to showcase at their booth from entry level ones up to what the most demanding of users want. But before we review their high end solutions today we are taking a look at their entry level unit and more specifically the PlayON!HD Essential which as the name suggests it's made for all of you who don't require/want all the bells and whistles featured in the rest of their line.

 

   

    AC Ryan has been one of the leading producers of quality cabling & accessories for international companies since 1992.     Although a bit different with the PlayON!HD the PlayON!HD Essential is equally small and follows the same classic ACRyan design with simple lines. However as you will also see later on unlike the PlayON!HD the Essential falls short in both connectors and features, still i do understand that ACRyan had to find several ways to drop the costs of the unit otherwise there really wouldn't be any reason for its existence since the normal PlayON!HD is not that far away in terms of price. So let's move forward and see what kind of features and performance one can expect from the PlayON!HD Essential by ACRyan.
