INTRODUCTION

GPS units and cameras are amongst the only devices i use almost on a daily basis that have nothing to do with computers and i never thought it would be possible to marry those two, at least in a way. Two years ago i learned that several GPS GeoTagging systems were available in the market by SONY and other similar companies and so i decided on learning as much about them as possible. ATP Electronics is amongst the companies that have been manufacturing such units for quite some time now and today we will be taking a look at their two latest solutions, more specifically the Photo Finder Mini and the Photo Finder Pro.
Established in 1991, ATP has accumulated many years of experience in the design, manufacturing, and support of high performance, highest quality DRAM modules and NAND flash storage products. ATP focuses in mission critical applications such as industrial/automation, telecom, medical, and enterprise computing where high levels of technical support/expertise, consistency of performance, and manufacturing quality are required. A certified Eco/Green partner of tier one OEMs, all ATP products are fully RoHS and China RoHS compliant.
Both the Photo Finder Mini and the Photo Finder Pro are used for GeoTagging your photographs and to make it easy for you to understand what GeoTagging is let’s just say that by doing so with these units you can record the exact spot on the globe where you took a specific photo by placing latitude and longitude coordinates on the image file. After that you can use programs like Google Earth and Locr to pinpoint these coordinates on the map. True this is not something which most people will find as useful but for people who love taking trips and shooting photographs this could come in handy in a number of ways. Now the difference between the Photo Finder devices and other similar units is that the ATP products don't require any kind of software to tag your photographs thus making the entire process extremely easy.
