Cooler Master GX 750W Power Supply
Article Publish Date:
For the past 5 months I’ve been hearing disturbing rumors claiming that Cooler Master introduced a line of power supplies so bad that they could not perform at their full output in situations where ambient temperature exceeded the 25 degrees Celsius mark and so i decided to have a look on my own. These specific power supply units are part of the latest GX line by Cooler Master and are actually being manufactured by SevenTeam a company we've had the chance to work with in the past.
Cooler Master was founded with the mission of providing the industry's best thermal solutions. Since its establishment a decade ago, the company has remained faithful to this mission, emerging as a world leader in products and services for companies dealing with devices where heat issues must be resolved. In pursuing this mission, Cooler Master is absolutely committed to delivering solutions that precisely meet customer requirements for features, performance, and quality. Moreover, we strive to be a reliable long-term partner for our customers that they can truly depend on. Cooler Master aims to be the first and foremost name that comes to mind for companies around the world seeking thermal solutions, and seeks to build such a reputation through outstanding technology, sophisticated design, and superior service.
The GX sample here with us today is the 750W variant which also happens to be the highest wattage unit in that particular line. To make things a lot more interesting and see if rumors are correct all of our tests were performed at an ambient temperature of 30 degrees Celsius and although its just 5 degrees above what I’ve been hearing still it is a 20% more (besides my AC units can't really heat up the room over 30 degrees) so if these units are not working correctly under stress we should easily find out.
