INTRODUCTION

 

 

 

 

 

    I can't really speak on behalf of everyone out there but whenever i change any of my PC cases i always add as many fans as they can carry and i also search for various possible ways to make them whisper quiet while turned on thus because of that i have tested most fan controllers in the market up until now. Now up until a month ago my favorite fan controller was the NZXT Sentry LX which not only looked awesome on any black case but also made it extremely easy for me to control up to 5 different fans. For the past month however things changed and so the NZXT Sentry LX gave its place to the newest NZXT offering, the Sentry LXE.

    At first glance the Sentry LXE is not that different than the Sentry LX since both offer almost the same screen size, same graphics and same brushed aluminum on the front. However unlike the original Sentry LX which required two 5.25' drive bays for installation the new Sentry LXE is standalone and so you can have it on your desk, PC Case or virtually wherever you want. Now this may sound better to some people but i really would like the optional ability to use it exactly like the Sentry LX since many people would love to have it in their case. Another cool feature of the Sentry LXE is of course its touch screen which brings fan control to a whole new level, although your fingerprints will certainly leave marks all over it and that’s perhaps the only thing i didn't like.
