INTRODUCTION

 

 

 

 

 

    This is yet another ask and you shall receive kind of review since many of you have been wondering, some even complaining for that matter, as to why we only review Seagate and Western Digital hard disk drives and not Samsung, Toshiba and Hitachi ones. Well i can't really get into details right now but from now on we will be reviewing hard disk drives from just about every company out there. With that being said today we bring you a review of what is perhaps the most successful HDD by Samsung for the past year, sales-wise that is, the SpinPoint EcoGreen F2 (HD103SI).

    Although the SpinPoint EcoGreen F2 is not currently the fastest eco drive by Samsung since the F3 models made their appearance soon after and Samsung has even released the F4 version a couple of months ago, still the F2 version has made record sales around the world mainly because of its price tag and low power consumption. The specific EcoGreen F2 1TB model we have here with us today also achieves a very nice balance between capacity and price tag making it easy for us to understand the reason behind its impressive sales numbers. However capacity and price is not the only two things that matter and so let's see how well this drive does in the performance segment.
