INTRODUCTION

Not so very often we happen to receive a product sample so innovative or of such high quality that really intrigues and leaves us with the best possible impression. Almost a year ago we had the chance to test such a product, more specifically the LM300 Pro PC Case by LUXA2 an rather new division of Thermaltake focusing on extremely high quality HTPC cases for the most demanding of users. The LM300 Pro is in fact the second best HTPC case LUXA2 manufactures and so we always wanted to take a look at their flagship HTPC Case, the LM300 Touch Pro which finally after all these months is sitting on our test bench.

LUXA2, a Division of Thermaltake, was created in 2009, with characteristics of simplicity, luxury, and unique lifestyle. The core design theory of LUXA2 starts from simple shapes blending with luxury elements, which create the unique lifestyle for different segments within the society such as Creative Pro, Mobile Blogger, Leisure Seeker, Hip Newbie, Entertainment Junkie, and Apple's Mac Lovers. LUXA2 represent an emerging trend of "individuality" in the world. Not only do people need function, but they also need aesthetic appeal. This is what LUXA2 has achieved. Exquisite craftsmanship with aesthetic and elegant design style is a promise and commitment from LUXA2. Thus, the Simplicity, Luxury and Lifestyle of LUXA2 creates a Uniquely You.

The main and only difference between the standard LM300 Pro and the LM300 Touch Pro is of course the 7 inch touch LCD screen from which you can control every function of your HTPC case without the need of an TFT screen. Of course since HTPC systems are already connected to TV sets this is mainly a feature for when listening to audio tracks and not watching movies. That aside the touch screen is certain to look impressive bellow any TV set so that too is a factor for its presence in the LM300 Touch Pro.
