INTRODUCTION

 

 

 

 

 

 

    One thing i always liked about the internet is that you can speak with people from anywhere on the planet and still be able to see and hear them. On the other hand however i never did like the fact that webcams never really delivered on their promises of high video quality. What i mean is that i can live with mediocre sound quality but Video quality is something that i always wanted to have but never really had, not as much as i would like. Logitech did satisfy most of my quality needs with their Pro9000 webcam since it was capable to produce video quality of up to 1280x720(720P) so the only question that remains is whether or not will the 1920x1080(1080P) video quality of their newest model, the C910, will be enough to deliver on what the Pro9000 did not.

    The C910 is the most advanced Webcam ever made by Logitech and up until today only Microsoft has their own 1080p Webcam so we are actually talking about one of the two most advanced webcams in the market today, at least when it comes to video quality. Still don't expect the C910 to replace your normal camcorder since maximum resolution is one thing while quality is another. You see the main issue with webcams is their lenses which can't in any way be compared to the ones found on a camcorder. Of course for online chat webcams are ideal, for most people anyway, but my take on the matter is that eventually manufacturing companies will start using better lenses even if that means paying a small premium. But let's move to the rest of this review and see what the C910 is all about.
