INTRODUCTION:

Home theater PC products are becoming more and more common in today’s homes.  These setups allow the owner to have a computer’s many functions at their fingertips in the living room, family room, or anywhere they decide to keep their setup instead of having to sit in front of a computer setup.  Whether for streaming video, music, or playing games, people are asking more and more of their HTPCS every day.

These smaller PCs also create tradeoffs though.  With smaller size comes cramped spaces and limited flexibility when it comes to choosing hardware to include in building the computer.  Low profile video and audio cards sometimes do not provide the power craved by some users, yet with more powerful components comes more power and heat.  It can be a delicate balancing act when deciding the right case for you.

nMediaPC has taken their step onto the tightrope of HTPC form vs. function with the HTPC 5000 case.  Sporting understated yet classy looks and allowing full size PCI cards and four hard drives, this budget-friendly case tries to strike the balance needed for those who want HTPC form and full size PC function.  Time for a closer look at the nMediaPC 5000 to see if it succeeds.
