Article Publish Date:
Although USB3.0 is upon us (finally) USB2.0 still has a long remaining life since just a small percentage of the mainboards currently sold feature the new device. For that reason we started a few USB2.0 roundups, to be more specific a total of 3 roundups that have to do with USB2.0 storage devices. The first roundup for the year 2010 is also the smallest one due to certain marketing cutbacks but we will make up to you with the other 2 roundups featuring quite a long list of devices from all the major companies in the field.
The manufacturing companies participating in the roundup really need no introductions but just for the record they are Seagate, Verbatim and Iomega. All three have been around for many years and are considered the Pioneers in the field. Western Digital and Toshiba are perhaps the two remaining companies that also fit this description and are missing from this roundup. Instead however of talking about which companies are absent let’s talk about the ones who are present.
