INTRODUCTION

 

 

 

 

 

 

      Direct-touch heatpipe (D.H.T) technology is all the rage currently when it comes to air cooling solutions for CPUs.  It has been shown to be very efficient method of cooling CPUs and allowing overclockers to worry less about one of their main enemies: heat.  Many budget friendly options have appeared on the scene utilizing this method and Cooler Master has released one other their own: the Hyper 212 Plus. 

 

 

 

 

      The Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus is a new revision of the original Cooler Master Hyper 212 that did not utilize DHT technology and had a reduced surface area on the fins of the cooler.  While a good design, Cooler Master obviously thought they could do better.  They redesigned the original 212; implementing HDT, expanding the fin surface area, redesigning the fan mounting, and adding support for all the latest and greatest CPUs.  Were their efforts worth it?  Let’s take a look.
