INTRODUCTION

We are most certainly going through one of the worse summer seasons ever with temperatures reaching 42 degrees in some areas and although i am perfectly aware that in some regions temperatures like that are considered normal, in most places are considered overkill. So one can only imagine the stress our systems get with these temperatures, unless of course you are amongst the lucky ones that use AC units 24/7 and care not about the power bill. However since most of us do care and so we don't always have the AC turned on it is only natural to worry about our computers. Still if you choose quality hardware from the mainboard and CPU Cooler to your power supply and case it is very unlikely that you will experience problems even with such high temperatures.

Nexus Technology BV was established in 2000 by a group of experts on heat conductivity and noise reduction in the computer industry. Their expertise and in depth knowledge and experience on heat conductivity issues and thermal characteristics was gained by working closely with many of the larger pc manufacturers for several years. The idea that brought all of them together and made Nexus a reality was to create a full line of high quality computer components which could improve the working environment by reducing noise levels. Ever since the beginning Nexus is continuously developing products to reduce noise levels and consequentially improve heat conductivity and airflow and their sole goal is to build a strong and reliable trademark for silent computing.

As you well know from the title today's review is about a power supply made by the guys over at Nexus and as you will find out later on it is not bad at all, quite the opposite. Still Nexus is not trying to make a behemoth of a power supply and so they are mostly targeted in the middle of the market segment meaning they are targeted towards people who want a silent power supply that performs very good and does not cost much such as HTPC owners and gamers. That aside the fact that this power supply can provide a full 850W to a system is something that will cover most people out there for a long time to come.
