INTRODUCTION

During the past few years everything in the Computer industry has taken a plunge, price-wise always, from HDDs and Optical drives, to Memory modules and LCD screens and so while a few years ago you would need 2000Euros to build a great system not you need almost half as much. The best price drops for the consumer have been recorded in LCD screens and so you can now buy a 26 inch LCD screen with the same amount of money as you would spend to get a 20 inch LCD screen roughly 3 years ago. A few months ago we had the opportunity to present to you the latest NEC 26 inch LCD screen the, EA261WM which featured a TN panel and had a good image quality. Today we push the envelope a bit higher by bringing you a 27 inch LCD screen featuring the latest S-PVA panel by Samsung, the DELL Ultrasharp 2709W.
Dell, Inc. , a multinational technology corporation, develops, manufactures, sells, and supports personal computers and other computer-related products. Based in Round Rock, Texas, Dell employs more than 76,500 people worldwide. Dell grew during the 1980s and 1990s to become (for a time) the largest seller of PCs and servers. . The company currently sells personal computers, servers, data storage devices, network switches, software, and computer peripherals. Dell also sells HDTVs, cameras, printers, MP3 players and other electronics that are produced by other manufacturers. In 2006, Fortune magazine ranked Dell as the 25th-largest company in the Fortune 500 list, 8th on its annual "Top 20" list of the most-admired companies in the United States. In 2007 Dell ranked 34th and 8th respectively on the equivalent lists for the year. A 2006 publication identified Dell as one of 38 high-performance companies in the S&P 500 which had consistently out-performed the market over the previous 15 years. As of 2008 it held the second spot in computer-sales within the industry behind Hewlett-Packard.
Now Dell may not really be as well known inside the EU as it is in the USA but over the last 5 years they have made gigantic leaps when it comes to sales inside the EU mainly because of the great quality of their products and their unsurpassed service. The Dell Ultrasharp 2709W is an S-PVA LCD Screen with a diagonal size of 27 inches that can go up to 1920x1200 resolution and thus output native 1080p and then some. Of course some say that 1920x1200 is low for this screen but over the past month that i have been using it i found no such thing to be true. It may apply however to professionals but i really doubt that since most i know use 24 inch LCD screens. But let's move onto the rest of the review so you can see what i mean.
