INTRODUCTION

With less than 3 months remaining until the very first DirectX 11 solutions hit the market many people are still wondering what they should get to power the graphics of their systems. Recently we had the opportunity to review the 2 latest NVIDIA solutions, the GTX285 and the GTX275 while in the past we also took a closer look at the GTX260, 9800GTX+ and 9600GT solutions in an effort to cover most of the market segment from low to high and enthusiasts end. Still there is one solution by NVIDIA that we never had the chance to cover until today and that is the 9800GT.
Leadtek was founded in 1986 and ever since they started manufacturing serious graphics cards they have been exclusive partners with NVIDIA while at the same time they have expanded their product line into manufacturing TV, Video cards and a wide array of multimedia products. Innovation and Quality is their company modo and in order to satisfy even the most demanding client they spare no expenses when it comes to their R&D department. So by doing that not only have they have gained the respect and loyalty of the market but their products have also won countless awards from press worldwide.
With around 20 PhysX supporting titles being launched until the end of 2010 buying an NVIDIA enabled PhysX card is almost a must for most gamers and enthusiasts. The 9800GT right now is considered one of the most cost effective NVIDIA solutions at the moment with a price that does not surpass the 100$ tag and can be used by both people in search for a cheap graphics card or by people who want a secondary graphics card to use as a dedicated PhysX accelerator. Either way this is an entry level graphics card and we are curious to see how good it performs, considering that the latest Geforce Drivers have given a bit of thrust to NVIDIA graphics cards performance.
