INTRODUCTION
For the past year or so we have had the opportunity to take a close look at the best Multimedia Players of the market and by doing that we have proven that they are quite more useful than having an HTPC plugged into your TV screen, not to mention a lot cheaper. Of course the war of blu-ray against movie files still wages on with both sides on a stalemate but that is another story for another time. So in another world wide first review the device we have in our hands today is made by the well known Raidsonic.
RaidSonic was founded in Hamburg in 1999 and in May 2004 they moved to Ahrensburg due to the need for larger warehouse space. Ever since Raidsonic has grown into one of the best known corporations around especially in the PC market not only as a result of the high quality components and materials used in their solutions but also because of their permanent improving logistic and expanded technical support.
The IB-MP309 is Raidsonic’s first attempt to make a Multimedia Player capable of playing MKV High Definition files. Of course under the hood of the IB-MP309 we find the same Sigmadesigns solution chip as with the rest of the competition and that alone is reason enough to more or less expect excellent visual and audio results from the Raidsonic offering. That aside this device boosts a good range of features as you will see later on at a quite tempting price tag.
