Lately there have been a large number of mainboard manufacturers which have begun introducing high end mainboards for the i7 platform with extensive overclock potential targeted towards the hard core enthusiast. Most of these mainboards feature Japanese solid capacitors, large heatpipes that run through the main components, better power phase design, 3 Way SLI / Crossfire, dual bios, special HD on board sound cards and much more. However what these high end models all have in common is the price tag which leaps over the 300Euros barrier. Fear not because ASRock is here with their first X58 mainboard targeted to the hardcore enthusiast with a lower price tag.

This is one of the few mainboards that can offer such a remarkable feature list and that alone is something that gains many points for ASRock. What is left to be seen is how well it performs in both default and overclock speeds.
