THE PX9600GT S-FANPIPE EDITION
The Nvidia Geforce 9600GT is constructed with a 65nm die, has 64 shader processors, a core clock of 650MHz and comes packed with 1ns DDR3 clocked at 900MHz ( 1800MHz effective ) on a 256 bit memory bus.
Unlike reference models the PX9600GT S-Fanpipe Edition covers the about 90% of the cards surface. Leadtek decided on continuing the Mech design onto the card and so, on the surface of the cooler we see the mechs machine guns.
The S-Fanpipe cooler has a 90mm fan built in it in order to produce less noise than the one found in the reference design while at the same time produce even better airflow. On the middle of the fan Leadtek has listed their logo and the available RAM of this model.
The card carries with it a pair of Dual Link DVI connectors and a TV-Out port.
On the back of the card we see a single 6-pin PCI Express power connector.
A total of 10 screws are responsible for holding the S-Fanpipe cooler in place. Once more Leadtek has decided to use green PCB on their card.
Two big stickers on the back inform you of the card model, available RAM, production date and serial number.
Just below the SLI connector Leadtek lists all of the available RAM capacities of this particular model and with a black spot they indicate how much RAM the model you have in your hands has. As you can see this is a 512MB RAM model.
The 9600GT comes with a single SLI connector in order to use two of them for better performance.
Right above the fan we can see the SPDIF connector. Oddly Leadtek as do other brands do not include an SPDIF cable with their 9600GT solutions.
