INTRODUCTION

During this week we have covered graphics cards models by Nvidia covering from the high end to mid end variants. However since there are many people out there who are not interested in spending 150Euros+ for a graphics card today we are here to cover them as well. So the Nvidia graphics card model that we have with us today is no other than the 9600GT which is based on the G94 chip. This is a low end card but due to some optimizations by Leadtek as you will see later on it can handle itself quite well in low resolutions and so it maybe just the ideal solution for people looking to buy a sub 100E graphics card and still be able to play most of the latest game titles in the market.

Leadtek was founded in 1986 and ever since they started manufacturing serious graphics cards they have been exclusive partners with NVIDIA while at the same time they have expanded their product line into manufacturing TV, Video cards and a wide array of multimedia products. Innovation and Quality is their company modo and in order to satisfy even the most demanding client they spare no expenses when it comes to their R&D department. So by doing that not only have they have gained the respect and loyalty of the market but their products have also won countless awards.

The 9600GT variant which we have on the table today is the PX9600GT S-Fanpipe model which incorporates a different cooling system than the reference 9600GT and so aside from lower temperatures you will experience less noise coming from the fan than with the reference model. Needless to say that you will also be able to overclock it a bit more than the reference model. That aside everything else remains the same and so we know what to expect performance wise, more or less that is.
