INTRODUCTION

With the increasing update in broadband speeds the need for more hard drive space has also increased dramatically. I recall a time when 360MBs were sufficient and they were even considered too much. 15 Years later we see that even 500GBs are considered to be low. Speaking for myself i happen to own many TBs with quite a large number of prebuilt external HDDs on my desk. To be totally honest i never thought it would be worth buying an internal HDD and pair it with a external HDD enclosure of my choosing, mainly because it would cost a lot more. However after having received quite a few external HDD enclosures i think that it is worth it. Today we will be taking a look at a 3.5 inch external HDD enclosure solution by the well known Raidsonic.
RaidSonic was founded in Hamburg in 1999 and in May 2004 they moved to Ahrensburg due to the need for larger warehouse space. Ever since Raidsonic has grown into a well known corporation especially in the PC market not only as a result of the high quality components and materials used in their solutions but also because of their permanent improving logistic and expanded technical support. Today on the table we have a 2.5' External HDD Enclosure solution by Raidsonic that should be quite interesting since it features a build in fingerprint scanner.
The IB-361-BL may look like all the 3.5 inch External HDD enclosures on the market but it is not. First of all the casing is made by high quality aluminum which is very hard to scratch or stain. Second of all the IB-361-BL features an easy swap mechanism with which you install and remove a hard drive in a matter of seconds. Quite useful for people who don’t want to have a docking station on their desk with the HDD exposed all the time. So let’s take a closer look.
