Corsair is evolving and as time passes and tradeshows go by we see them entering new markets. What started out as Memory, Cases and Power Supplies has snowballed into a full lineup of gaming peripherals and cooling solutions. One of the most successful cooling solutions Corsair brought to the market was the H50 and H70 sealed AIO water cooling setups. There was not a day that would go by you didn’t see someone on a forum recommending one of those coolers to a guy asking for help. Well today we are bringing you a review of a cooler that has been around for a little while and it’s not the H50 or H70 but rather the A70 the big dog of Corsair air cooling solutions.
The A70 utilizes a push/pull configuration with very capable fans pushing 61.2 CFM @ 2000RPM. In addition to the standard configuration Corsair has threw in inline power resistors to cap the fans at 1600RPM and 50.3 CFM, so if the stock configuration is too much for you there is always another option. As far as mounting goes for the A70 it is capable of mounting to all of the Intel LGA sockets along with AMDs AM2/AM3 platforms. Enough of me babbling though let’s see what this direct touch heat pipe cooler can do on our Sandy Bridge P67 platform. The A70 continues on from its little brother the A50 so of course it’s bigger but is it better?
