With the cooler market immensely saturated it can be tough at times to figure out just what cooler to get. I can tell you one thing; you came to the right place for cooler reviews. Not to knock my buddy over at Tweaktown but I’ll try to make this as “Real World” as possible without getting to technical on you. After all that’s what landed you here right?
Arctic is once again back with a new cooler in their lineup of “Freezer” cooling solutions. One thing we always know when we get a cooler from Arctic is its going to be silent, they always are and its part of what makes Arctic so brilliant. The newest CPU coolers from Arctic come system specific and that’s to say there are two models of this cooler we are looking at today and the difference between them lies in the mounting. We will be digging in and taking a look at the i30 or Intel version the new Freezer from Arctic. Looking over the cooler some might say they have seen something remarkably familiar to this before, that’s because you have and it was called the Freezer 13 Pro. We do have to assume that Arctic has made some changes with the Freezer i30 to increase performance or we wouldn’t be here today looking at it. Don’t get me wrong we know this cooler is going to be silent, but of course it’s going to make a small amount of noise and that alone has me intrigued. Has Arctic made the 13 better and is it worthy of a new name and design? Let’s get at it and take a look at the Freezer i30 from Arctic.
About Arctic
The increased heat emission of modern computers has put the production of powerful and quiet coolers beyond the means of most manufacturers. The raised noise levels of PC systems have a negative impact on productivity, since a quiet computer is the basis for pleasant working conditions. ARCTIC initiated the trend towards quiet cooling systems for desktop PCs in 2001 and has led the way ever since. When ARCTIC COOLING was founded, we began by focusing on Switzerland and Germany. In 2002 ARCTIC COOLING (HK) Ltd. was founded to develop relationships with our Asian production locations. From 2005, we started to expand business in North and South America and provide optimum service to our customer base there.
ARCTIC is now a leading manufacturer of CPU coolers, GPU coolers and case fans. In recent years we acquired a far-ranging expertise in the field of consumer electronics. The company’s product range has been further enhanced by new lines unrelated to PC cooling which was the reason behind the 2010 change in our brand name and logo: ARCTIC COOLING became the ARCTIC brand umbrella.
