INTRODUCTION:

There’s no doubt that the mid-tower segment of cases has become a real minefield when it comes to finding everything you want in a case at a price point you can afford.  With more features being rolled out all the time, it can take some real work to find just the right case for you.  One of the worst things that can kill some people is finding a case that you love but for some reason it’s too large for your tastes or for the space where you will be putting your rig.

 

Cooler Master’s HAF series of cases has gained quite a following over the last few years.  Once only a full tower solution, Cooler Master has been answering those who want the aggressive styling of the HAF series in a midtower case.  It was only a matter of time before the HAF-X gained a little brother just as the 932 got with the 922 and 912.  Today we are looking at the Cooler Master HAF XM; the mid tower version of the popular HAF-X full tower chassis.  Boasting features like USB 3.0 connectivity, two hot swap SATA drive ports, and enough room to stuff a ton of fans within this case, the HAF XM is looking to give the HAF fan everything they want in a smaller footprint.  Let’s see if the HAF XM has what the fans want.
