Introduction

It’s no secret that one of the latest trends in the gaming sector has become mechanical keyboards. Once known as an item that was considered either too old school for the gaming crowd or too expensive for most to afford, mechanical keyboards have come to the forefront as a viable option for today’s gamer. The reliability and responsiveness of the Cherry MX keys that are used in most of the mainstream keyboards along with the different choices of switches allows gamers to have more choice in how their keyboard responds as opposed to the squishy scissor switches seen in the cheaper segment.
Corsair, once known mostly for memory modules and power supplies, has been really branching out over the last couple of years. High performance solid state drives and an excellent line of cases have won over many enthusiasts, and now Corsair is looking to bring that success into their new Vengeance peripheral lineup. The Vengeance K60 and K90 keyboards both boast highly responsive Cherry MX Red switches and a slick aluminum look. While the K90 is geared more towards the MMO crowd with extra macro keys, the K60 touts itself as an FPS gamers dream with replaceable WASD keys and a single wrist rest for long hours playing games Like Battlefield 3 or Modern Warfare 3.
The Vengeance K60 is certainly an impressive looking keyboard both on paper and on your desk. Let’s put this through its paces and see if this should be your next gaming keyboard.
