The Antec One strives to be the system builder’s case of choice by teaming up clean looks, USB 3.0 compatibility, and a budget friendly price tag.
INTRODUCTION:
Let’s face it; not everyone likes a case that can light up the entire room or looks like something straight off of a vessel from another planet. There are many out there who build a machine and leave it pretty much the same for a while without a whole lot of component switching. Much to the chagrin of many enthusiasts out there, these folks want a case that “just works,” and would rather spend their new PC budget on components rather than the case. The drawback is that usually budget cases come without the features they want or have a cheap look. This is a trend that Antec is looking to change with the Antec One.
Antec is well known for their cases that aim at many types of PC enthusiasts such as the P280 and the Eleven Hundred. While these may be great choices for folks with bigger budgets, Antec saw an opportunity to bring great features and a clean look to those not looking to spend $100 and up on their case. Aimed more at system builders and those not looking to build the biggest and meanest rig out there, the One looks to bring modern features like USB 3.0 connectivity to the sub $60 segment. Let’s take a look and see if it’s truly as good a “bang for the buck” chassis as we hope it is.
