INTRODUCTION

It really seems like for some reason new power supply units have been are getting released at the same fast rate as CPU Coolers and that is something we didn't really see in the past. Sure it's a good thing in overall especially for people who are into things but just like most things in the market it also makes things harder for some people. In any case over a month ago we tested the latest LEPA offering in their High End PSU line, the G700-MA which in the end proved to be a rebranded Enermax Modu87+ unit at a much lower price tag (which is really good). Today we will be taking a thorough look at one of their latest low-end power supply units and more particularly the W500-SA.

The LEPA W500-SA power supply unit may not offer anything extraordinary in terms of features but it does come with a basic 80Plus efficiency certification, ErP6 LOT 6 support, Active PFC and as you will also see later on a very tempting price tag. Of course all these, although important, matter not if an power supply unit is not doing well in terms of rail stability so let’s move forward with the rest of the review and see what exactly the latest W500-SA by LEPA is made of.
