INTRODUCTION

 

 

 

 

 

        As some of you know i am a huge fan of space/normal flight simulators and that is why i always try to review the best flight controllers in the market by the few remaining companies that actually still support that game gender. Although Logitech has manufactured quite a few joysticks during all their years in the industry they were never that much into flight simulators something that changed back in 2009 when they announced the release of a complete HOTAS package called Flight System G940. Now almost 15 months later i decided on taking a look to see how well they did on their first complete flight system solution and how it compares to the Saitek X-65F.

    The Logitech Flight System G940 consists of three main components, the force feedback flight stick, dual throttle and rudder pedals. As usual and with most similar solutions both the dual throttle and rudder pedals come with long cables that plug into the back of the flight stick and in turn they all connect to the main system with a regular and quite long USB2.0 cable. Now the important thing to remember is that the Flight System G940 is currently the only set that also comes with rudder pedals something that all companies in that segment of the market should consider doing.
