INTRODUCTION

A couple of days ago we brought you a review of what might as well be the best, or at least one of the top HTPC cases in the market as we speak the LM300 Touch Pro by Luxa2. Following the same path today we bring you yet another review of one of the markets top of the line PC Cases, this time however the product is not an HTPC case but a full size tower case the Obsidian 800D by Corsair.
Corsair has been a leader in the design and manufacture of high-speed modules since 1994. Our focus has always been on supporting the special demands of mission-critical servers and high-end workstations, as well as the performance demands of extreme gamers. While maintaining this core focus, in recent years, we've also brought our expertise, technology leadership and legendary quality and reliability to memory and other technology products for the more mainstream consumer.
The Obsidian 800D by Corsair really took us by surprise since we rarely see companies going out of their way to manufacture something entirely new and succeed with flying colors. I mean who would had thought a while back that a memory module manufacturer would be able to design and manufacture PC Cases capable of going up against the best cases of a legendary company such as Lian Li and even surpass them in many ways? Of course the Obsidian 800D is not a perfect case since it comes with a few minor drawbacks which we will be talking about later on but it does come really close to perfection.
