INTRODUCTION

When building a performance pc system one of the most important components is the power supply.  There is no reason to build your own computer to have it powered by a cheap and low quality power supply that has problems holding a good rail. A Plethora of users fall victims of the misconception that “the more the watts the better the power supply” while more experienced and seasoned users choose to buy something less powerful but far more stable. Along with features like an 80 plus rating and Active Power Factor Correction ( Active PFC ) power supplies have literally become quieter and more powerful. While in the past most Power Supplies featured 90mm fans not it is far more common to see 120mm and 140mm fans on High End Power Supplies in order to provide excellent cooling and at the same time be silent while and modular cable systems have made cable management easy for everyone.

Nesteq is a rather new German based company who’s goal is to manufacture High Quality and Performance Power Supplies. Their current product line up is  small with only a few Power Supplies available. The Nesteq 700W unit is from their EECS (Enhanced Easy Connecting System) series featuring near silent operation along with a modular design, 80 Plus efficiency, and four 6+2 pin PCI Express connectors.
