INTRODUCTION
It is quite rare for any company researching and manufacturing products for a specific segment of the market to suddenly try and expand into other segments. Arctic Cooling was introduced in the market almost a decade ago with innovative cooling solutions mainly for CPUs. Later on they released their famous VGA coolers and finally they even designed their own power supply unit. Personally i thought they would stop there, i was wrong. A couple of months ago Arctic Cooling changed its name to Arctic and now sells from CPU and GPU Coolers to headsets, earphones, keyboards, gaming consoles and much more. Today with us we have not one, not two but their three top earphones which as you will see later on offer quite a good bang for the buck.
ARCTIC COOLING is a privately owned company founded in 2001 with headquarters in Switzerland, offices in Hong Kong and the USA and production facilities in Asia. The ARCTIC COOLING team consists of international highly educated people with business, technical and communicational skills. The attitude to work is based on Swiss principles of innovative spirit and high standards of workmanship for which it is recognized internationally. This striving for excellence is integrated in all processes as a matter of course. ARCTIC COOLING/s core competencies are multifarious including systematic noise reduction, copper and aluminum heatsink development, customization of thermal solutions, as well as designing quiet fans. More recently quiet and cool PC Cases and Power Supplies have been developed.
So together with us we have the mainstream E351 the slightly better E352 and the most advanced E361. All three units are considered budget earphones, although they belong to the high end range of Arctic’s earphones, but especially the E361 produces a sound quality found in a lot more expensive sets. On the other hand the E352 has a wooden chassis which should produce warmer sound than the rest. On the other hand the E361 features an aluminum chassis which in turn should provide top class sound isolation. So let's take a close look to all of the units here.
