     The high performance CPU cooler game has become quite a market with a ton of options being available out there.  There’s no doubt that almost anything you buy is going to be better than the stock cooler you get with your processor, but when you need serious cooling for your overclocking sessions that requires you to do a bit more homework.  Zalman was one of the first companies to get into the CPU cooling game, and have been famous for years for their well performing and attractive cooling options.  They’ve been off the chart for a while though, but have made their comeback in a big way. Nik gave you a look earlier at the CNPS10X Performa, an excellent performing cooler that is in the same line of coolers of the one I am looking at today.  The CNPS10X Extreme is the big brother of the line; having an included fan controller with a 3 speed blue LED fan.  But with all those bells and whistles comes an increased price tag, so you may have to ask yourself if it’s worth the extra bucks to get the extra goodies.  Performance is also a big factor in this decision as well, and although we weren’t able to get the two coolers to go head to head on the same system, you should be able to get enough of an idea to see which of Zalman’s coolers could be right for you.  Let’s have a look at the 10X Extreme and see how she does.
