INTRODUCTION

DVB-T has been around for many years in countries such as the Unites States Of America, United Kingdom, France and many more. What most of you don't know is that up until 2 days ago Greece only had a pilot DVB-T system broadcasting just 3 government channels in MPEG2. However right now we can receive a total of 7 new DVB-T channels (Already broadcasting in Analog for many years), this time however in MPEG4 which is not supported by TV models manufactured before 2009. I for once never watch TV so i don't really care if they start broadcasting in whichever protocol they want. Still thank god for all the people who like to watch DVB-T companies do care. One of these companies is Raidsonic who have manufactured the IB-MP102 a DVB-T capable MP4 Portable Media Player.
RaidSonic was founded in Hamburg in 1999 and in May 2004 they moved to Ahrensburg due to the need for larger warehouse space. Ever since Raidsonic has grown into one of the best known corporations around especially in the PC market not only as a result of the high quality components and materials used in their solutions but also because of their permanent improving logistic and expanded technical support.
The IB-MP102 is an improved version of the IB-MP101 we had the chance to test a year ago. This new version not only does it improve on everything from Signal Strength to Audio Quality but it also adds a few new features such as Recording Function, more software settings and a lock switch. Unfortunately although this is one of the most complete handheld Media Players i have ever used, up until today, it does not support MPEG4 protocol (Perhaps a firmware update can solve that) and so i can't really test it with all the Digital channels currently broadcasting in Greece so just MPEG2 compatible ones will have to do for now.
