INTRODUCTION

With just 9 Days to Christmas and counting and with no snow where i live there is really nothing better to do than to fire up my test rigs and start benching. Although in my test room i always use 23 degrees as ambient temperature using a dual A/C configuration during the days of the winter the ambient temperature drops even lower providing the ideal conditions for people to use their heavily overclocked systems. Of course i still use 23 degrees as ambient since it is the standard for all my tests but i can't ignore the fact that winter is the best season for us computer enthusiasts. Anyways for the past 3 days i have been working on the successor of the Tuniq Tower 120, a rather great CPU Air Cooler which i am sure many of you will remember, the Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme.
As a division of Sunbeamtech, Tuniq considers itself in the fashion business of computing industry. They are committed to bring stylish, durable and high performance equipments to the world of computer modding. Their members consist of people who have more than 10 years experience in the industry and enthusiastic young designers full of innovative ideas and their manufacture center, which is located in China, takes care of a portion of component manufacturing and ensures best quality with reasonable cost for their clients. This combination of enthusiasm and market sophistication makes them a strong and reliable choice in the market. The people in Tuniq are more than pleased to help in tuning your PC and make it into one unique to your own.
The original Tuniq Tower 120 brought new levels of performance in the market along with the original Thermalright Ultra 120, levels that we hardly ever saw before and although the Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme is an improved version still i was quite skeptical about the performance levels it would bring on the table years after the original. The design is great, the build quality is great too but the fact that it still comes with a single 120mm fan between the two heatsinks is something that i do not like, not when there are companies placing two fans on their solutions and even make it possible to add a third one. But let's move to the rest of the review and see how well it will do.
