INTRODUCTION

Over the years we have managed to review quite a large number of external HDD enclosures from the small 2.5' factor up to the larger 3.5' one. Still all of these enclosures had a single thing in common, they all had room for 1 HDD inside and for that reason people with limited desktop space always asked me what they should get that could carry 2 or more HDDs inside. I have to admit that i never did think of dual HDD solutions highly since they usually get quite big but after receiving the latest Raidsonic offering i think that although there is always room for improvement, things are getting a lot better in this market segment.
RaidSonic was founded in Hamburg in 1999 and in May 2004 they moved to Ahrensburg due to the need for larger warehouse space. Ever since Raidsonic has grown into one of the best known corporations around especially in the PC market not only as a result of the high quality components and materials used in their solutions but also because of their permanent improving logistic and expanded technical support.
So what we have here with us today is a dual HDD external HDD enclosure that also sports a backup button, a 40mm speed controlled fan, on/off switch and a very easy slide in HDD mounting that makes swapping HDDs extremely easy. Of course the size is not that much smaller than having 2 standalone external HDD enclosures next or on top to each other but the features mentioned above make it the ideal choice especially if you don't have much space on your desk or you just want to use a single device.
