INTRODUCTION

How many times have you been on the road, inside your car, on foot or in a public transportation and your favorite movie or a basketball match was on TV ? That has happened to me quite a few times and although i never really care about movies since i can always find them, i do however care about basketball and football games that i will certainly miss when i am not at home. So as a response to that quite a few companies in the field have released mobile media players capable of receiving DVB-T signal so you can all watch your favorite shows when you are not at the comfort of your home, some companies even took it a step further and released cell phones with DVB-T ability. Raidsonic is one of the companies i mentioned above and they have just released their solution into the market.

RaidSonic was founded in Hamburg in 1999 and in May 2004 they moved to Ahrensburg due to the need for larger warehouse space. Ever since Raidsonic has grown into one of the best known corporations around especially in the PC market not only as a result of the high quality components and materials used in their solutions but also because of their permanent improving logistic and expanded technical support.

The ICY BOX MP-101 portable media player by Raidsonic follows the traditional design and other than its big 3.5 inch LCD screen it does not really stand out from the crowd, in terms of design. That aside the MP-101 is capable of receiving radio and TV signals via DVB-T and playback AVI, MP3 and JPEG media files via the SD memory card slot which as you will see later on really limits the device in terms of convenience. Let us move on forward in the review and see exactly what the IB MP-101 is really capable of.
