CONCLUSION
I must admit that i neglected to do GPU cooler reviews due to the massive number of CPU coolers and Power Supplies and after having tested the Musashi i don’t think i will be doing the same mistake again. The Scythe Musashi performed even better than i had originally hoped for which is always a good thing for the end user. The cooler managed to overtake the special Leadtek optimized cooler by a full 22 degrees Celsius under load and that is truly remarkable. Also the fact that the musashi although a dual fan solution it is extremely hard to hear is something that will appeal to all users, especially to ATI users considering that the Radeon family of fans always makes a bit more noise than the NVIDIA ones. Last but not least the appearance of the musashi is bound to leave everyone with a good impression, i know that it did to me.
The single drawback i found with the musashi is the lack to support the latest GTX graphics cards by NVIDIA. Considering i own a few i was anxious to find an good aftermarket cooler to test them with and unfortunately the musashi did not prove to be the right solution for that. However Scythe assured me that they have plans to support the GTX graphics cards in the near future so stay tuned for that.
The Scythe musashi retails for about 35Euros in the EU and considering the performance punch this unit delivers the money seem far too little. Not that you will see anyone complaining of course. So if you happen to own one of the supported cards by the musashi and you are out to get a good and almost silent GPU cooler then Scythe has once more managed to provide a great choice for you to make. You just can’t go wrong with the musashi GPU Cooler.
